How to Delete Your Account and Data
If you wish to permanently delete your CentsCheck account and all associated data, follow these steps:
- Go to Settings (gear icon on home screen)
- Select "Account"
- Select "Account Settings"
- Select "Delete Account & Data"
- Follow the instructions on screen to proceed
⚠️ Warning: This action cannot be undone. All your transaction data, budgets, and account information will be permanently deleted.

What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data will be permanently removed:
- All transaction records and financial data
- Budget settings and goals
- Category customizations
- Cloud backup and sync data
- Account preferences and settings
This list is not exhaustive and may not reflect all data types that exist at any given time. Account and data deletion will apply to all prevailing types of data associated with your account at the time of deletion.
Alternative Options
If you're not ready to delete your account permanently, consider these alternatives:
- Export your data: Pro subscribers can export their data before deletion
- Sign out: the app stops syncing to your account. Data already backed up stays until you delete it.
